Wool News: PGW Wool at the National Fieldays 2021

When 2020 Fieldays was cancelled due to Covid-19 PGG Wrightson Wool decided that 2021 was going to be bigger and better, and they did not fail to deliver!

The PGG Wrightson site was humming with a constant flow of people, our wool stand was extremely engaging with an eye-catching backdrop, a monitor scrolling through videos and images of our wool journey and a crowd-pleasing ‘Guess the wool properties’ competition.

Congratulations to our two winning entries!

Bev Connolly was the closest for guessing the ‘Lambswool Properties’ at 1.0 colour, 28 micron fineness and 75% yield and the actual lab tested numbers for that fleece were 1.5 colour, 28.7 micron and 75% yield.

Sue Taft was the closest for the guessing the ‘Ewe Wool Properties’ at 1.0 colour, 38 micron and 81% yield and the actual lab tested results for that fleece are 0.1 colour, 37.7 micron and 81.9% yield.

Their prize was the newly-released PGW Wool/Norsewear Boundless Pack containing Socks, Gloves, and a Wool Beanie in raspberry pink.

We are looking forward to next year and bringing in even more crowds to our site and showcasing New Zealand Wool, and how PGG Wrightson is a nationwide leader in the field of wool.
