PGG Wrightson Team Members Volunteer for Fire and Emergency NZ

As a nationwide business deeply rooted in the rural sector, we understand the importance of community support. We proudly back our team members who volunteer for Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ), ensuring they have the flexibility to respond to callouts in their communities when needed.

PGG Wrightson team members volunteer at approximately 20 fire brigades throughout New Zealand. Rural communities depend on their vital support in an emergency, and we are extremely proud of their efforts to help keep our teams, families, and clients safe.

About Fire and Emergency New Zealand Volunteers

Almost 12,000 people volunteer for Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ), supporting people throughout the country in the case of fires, transport accidents and other emergencies.

“Through volunteering, I’ve learnt essential life skills and I love helping the community in a time of need. The team get a bit of excitement when the pager goes off, there are shouts of encouragement for me to get up and go!”

Aimee-Gene Hughes-Faiao, Customer Service Representative – Fruitfed Supplies and Fire and Emergency Volunteer

“It is the most rewarding and fulfilling job that I have ever done, there is no better feeling when the adrenaline is flowing, and your fighting fire be that a house fire or fast-moving vegetation fire. There is a humbling sensation knowing that you and your crew have helped make a difference in the lives of people you may not even know.”
