We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our colleague, Tina Barrett, who has been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours 2025 for services to the community. Her community service spans a 25-year commitment to the Māori Women’s Welfare League, St Faiths Anglican Church and as a Justice of the Peace.

Tina has been a valued member of the PGG Wrightson whānau for nearly 39 years, currently managing our agOnline Livestock website. Alongside her professional expertise, she brings warmth, cultural knowledge, and a deep sense of service that enriches both our workplace and the wider community.

Tina joined Nga Wahine Toko i Te Ora | The Māori I Women’s Welfare League (MWWL) in 1999. For the following eight years she served as the Rotorua Branch Secretary and Treasurer. In 2014 she became a Ministerial Justice of the Peace (JP) and was also appointed a Life Member of the MWWL. In 2016 She joined the Rotorua and Districts JP Association Council and played a key role in organising the 2017 Royal Federation National Conference. In 2017 she was approved as a Judicial JP and served as the Rotorua and Districts Association’s Registrar since 2018.

Her service is part of a proud family legacy. Tina’s late mother, Ani Rolfe, was awarded the Queen’s Service Medal in 2013, and her grandmother, Rangiatuhi Morgan, was a founding member of the Māori Women’s Welfare League in Rotorua.

That same spirit of service shines through in Tina’s role at PGG Wrightson. She incorporates te reo Māori and te ao Māori into the Farmers Patch section of the agOnline website, offering recipe inspiration which foster a deeper understanding of Māori food traditions.

Tina, your humility, leadership, and aroha uplift everyone around you. Your passion for helping others, celebrating culture, and giving back to the community is a true inspiration to us all. On behalf of the entire PGG Wrightson team, we offer our warmest congratulations and heartfelt thanks.
