LandMarks Photo Collection Entries Capture the Heart of Rural New Zealand
Thank you to everyone who entered the 2025 LandMarks Photo Collection!
With over 2,000 entries received in this year’s LandMarks Photo Collection photography competition, we are once again blown away by the remarkable showcase of photography talent and passion across rural New Zealand.
Over the next fortnight, we’ll review each image to ensure it meets the competition criteria. This includes checking that the image meets technical requirements for printing, demonstrates good farming practices, and portrays healthy, well-cared-for stock or crops. A shortlist of entries will then move forward to the Top 100 list, presented for judging in early August.
During the judging process, our panel will review high-resolution prints and select winning images that represent a diverse range of agricultural and horticultural scenes and regions across Aotearoa.
Winners will be contacted by phone or email once judging is complete and will have 14 days to return the necessary consent forms. If people appear in your photo, please ensure you’ve obtained their permission — this is an essential part of our process.
We look forward to releasing the Top 100 next month and annoucneing the final winners in early September. Keep an eye on our website, monthly e-newsletter, and the PGG Wrightson Facebook page.
The 2026 PGG Wrightson calendar compilation is also underway, and teams across the country are busily confirming the sale dates for on-farm yard sales next year. The calendar will go to print in October, then 40,000 copies will be distributed to rural letterboxes, Livestock Reps and PGG Wrightson stores nationwide in November. Each winning entrant will receive copies of the printed calendar as a keepsake.
Thank you again for being part of the 2025 LandMarks Photo Collection — we’re continually inspired by the moments you share from life on the land. Best of luck to all!
