Opportunity to secure proven hill country genetics

Renowned Tararua district property Waewaepa Station set to hold first on-farm sale offering large quantities of steers, ewes and lambs.

Waewaepa Station’s first ever on-farm sheep and steer Sale on 14 January should attract plenty of local farmers, as well as others from further and wider afield.

With PGG Wrightson’s Tom Suttor in support, Waewaepa Station manager Tim Stevenson’s genetics strategy is showing excellent progress, looking to the maternal side for quick growth in a testing environment, and therefore progeny that grow out quickly.

Bjorn Andersen, PGG Wrightson Area Livestock Manager for Dannevirke and Pahiatua takes care of the commercial side of 3,200 hectare Waewaepa Station’s business.

Tom and Bjorn discuss the sale in the video above.
