Extensive plant and machinery offered fully online

Wide variety of farm equipment, valued at $2 million, from respected Waikato agricultural contractor, selling via bidr auction.

On the 10th of April, a large online sale of agricultural plant and machinery is set to attract purchasers from throughout the country.

Trucks, tractors, trailers, drills, mowers, ploughs, rollers, tedders, harrows and earthmoving machinery are all offered, via bidr, in the sale.

N&G Langsford is a well-respected general agricultural contractor of many years standing, mainly serving the Cambridge and Te Awamutu areas. Items offered in this sale from the company’s inventory of plant and machinery are conservatively valued at more than $2 million, says Neil Lyons of PGG Wrightson Livestock Waikato, who is coordinating the sale.

“We have around 90 quality lots on offer. Among some of the more eye-catching items are three John Deere tractors, in good condition, plus three trucks and sundry trailer units. Anyone in need of any sort of ag equipment, whether farming on their own account or another agricultural contractor, should find something to appeal in the Langsford sale catalogue.

“For those thinking of buying in this sale, if you have not previously used bidr, please download the app and check out a livestock sale online to give you an indication of what to expect at this one,” he says.

Using bidr, the vendor aims to attract a nationwide gallery of buyers. The event has been widely publicised via social media. Neil Lyons says offering plant and machinery at an online auction makes sense. He expects that hosting similar auctions on the platform in the future will become a trend.

This sale is fully online, and will commence at 7pm on 10 April. Neil Lyons says more than 60 people attended the first open day held to showcase the items offered in the Langsford sale. Another open day is scheduled for 7 April, at 155 Cox Road, Cambridge.
