New cashflow tool helping South Island sheep farmers

GO-LAMB SOUTH gaining traction as farmers take advantage.

South Island farmers have a new option to trade and finish lambs.

PGG Wrightson’s GO-STOCK is a livestock cashflow tool where PGG Wrightson purchases trading livestock with no outlay for the farmer. A recent addition to the GO-STOCK range, GO-LAMB SOUTH is fast gaining traction with South Island farmers, providing a simple cashflow tool.

Launched shortly pre-Christmas, GO-LAMB SOUTH is already proving very popular with many lambs already approved onto the contract.

This contract option, for South Island farmers only, offers a $2 reduction on the standard GO-LAMB fee, with all lambs committed to PGG Wrightson supply chain partner Alliance. GO-STOCK has a similar offer for North Island lamb finishers, GO-LAMB SELECT, in conjunction with supply chain partner Ovation, which has been going strong for several years.

Aside from that, the easy GO-STOCK process applies. With a quick approval, and simple fee structure, the contracted farmer decides the breed, price and weight of lambs alongside their PGG Wrightson livestock rep, and while PGG Wrightson buys and owns them, the farmer concerned grazes them before deciding when to send them away for processing – via Alliance on GO-LAMB SOUTH.

GO-STOCK is an innovative way to help farmers free up capital by PGG Wrightson purchasing various species of trading stock: beef, lamb, deer and dairy, therefore enabling investment in other areas of the business. GO-LAMB SOUTH extends the concept, with increased simplicity and an even lower fee for lambs committed to Alliance.
