Daryl Paskell’s 42-year career in the wool industry first started with Wrightson NMA on December 2nd, 1982, straight out of school. Over the years, he has become a cornerstone of PGW, progressing to become a wool representative in 1993 and has spent his entire career based in Southland. Over the years, Daryl has built a wealth of experience, becoming a trusted advisor to many of his clients.

Daryl’s connection to the growers he works with is central to his career. Many of them have become personal friends, and he has always been motivated by the challenge of helping growers achieve better wool prices and returns. His extensive experience in the industry enables him to identify opportunities that can significantly benefit wool producers.

Daryl believes the resilience of farmers, especially in the face of environmental and legal challenges, is one of the key factors behind the industry’s strength. He understands the pressures growers face and works tirelessly to support them.

Outside of his wool career, Daryl enjoys fly fishing as a professional guide for international visitors, mainly from North America and Australia. He also enjoys 4WD driving and travel, embracing opportunities to connect with people and nature. Daryl’s passion for both his work and personal life showcases his dedication to supporting those around him.
