Rachel was appointed General Manager Wool in August 2024, having joined PGG Wrightson Limited as General Manager People & Safety in 2016. She leads a team focused on delivering a more sustainable and future-focused wool value chain for New Zealand sheep farmers and is responsible for driving change across procurement, logistics, sales, and export. Rachel has a clear focus on strengthening sector resilience, improving outcomes for growers, and positioning New Zealand wool for long-term relevance in global markets.

 Rachel is also Executive Director of bidr®, New Zealand’s leading digital livestock trading platform, where she champions the role of technology and new business models to assist in modernising the sector. 

 A strategic and people-centred leader, Rachel has a background spanning organisational transformation and workforce strategy. She brings deep experience in leading change in complex industries and has worked in multiple international economies. She is a member of the Institute of Directors and serves on a number of subsidiary boards within the PGG Wrightson Group.
