Meet Rob Lynskey: 40+ years of commitment to the wool industry
Rob Lynskey’s career in the wool industry spans over four decades, starting as a junior wool classer with Farmers Co-op in 1980. By 1990, he took on the role of Wool Representative with Wrightsons, covering the Mid-Canterbury and Banks Peninsula regions. Since then, Rob has focused his efforts on servicing the North Canterbury region, where he has built strong relationships with the local farming community for over 25 years.
Rob’s passion for wool is evident in his dedication to achieving the best outcomes for farmers. “I enjoy building relationships with the local farming community and working hard to secure the best returns for their wool,” he says. His experience and knowledge across a range of wool breeds have made him a valuable resource for wool growers in his region. “Knowing we have some of the best wool in the world makes me proud to work in this industry,” Rob reflects. His long-standing career has given him the depth of knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of wool production and ensure his clients get the best value for their wool.
Outside of his professional life, Rob has always been passionate about sports, especially cricket and rugby. While no longer actively playing, he remains an avid spectator, enjoying these sports from the sidelines.
With his extensive experience, hands-on approach, and commitment to his clients, Rob continues to be a trusted wool representative in North Canterbury.
