  • Meet Felix Radman-Brown: A passion for wool, farming, and the outdoors

Felix began his career after school at Otiwhiti Station, a land-based training farming school, where he developed a strong foundation in practical farming. He then spent 12 months working as a shepherd in South Otago, an experience that sparked his interest in wool. From shearing sheep through to pressing wool, Felix gained hands-on exposure to the full wool harvesting process.

After shepherding, Felix spent two years on the West Coast working in gold mining, where he earned his civil infrastructure certification and developed skills operating heavy machinery. Despite stepping away from farming during this time, his interest in wool never faded, particularly the journey from sheep to sale.

In his role today, Felix enjoys working with growers across the Canterbury region, building relationships with a wide range of farmers and continuing to learn about different wool types and classing. He brings a positive attitude to the team and is known for being passionate, respectful, and eager to learn, always focused on contributing to the growth of the business.

What inspires Felix most about working with wool growers is helping them achieve the best possible outcomes for their wool, while knowing it goes on to be used in a wide range of products seen in everyday life. He also values the opportunity to meet and work alongside farmers throughout the region.

Outside of work, Felix loves being outdoors. His interests include tramping, hunting, fishing, mountain biking, and during winter he enjoys snowboarding and playing rugby.
