Forage Brassica

Brassicas are an extremely versatile range of forage crops, which can be spring planted for summer, autumn or winter feed, and also autumn planted for winter feed. With yields between 5 tonne dry matter (dryland) and 20+ tonne dry matter per hectare, they are an economic feed source with the benefit of no harvesting costs when grazed in situ by dairy, breeding, milking or finishing animals as part of a pasture renovation programme.
